ΚΑΤΑΣΤΗΜΑ ΧΕΙΡΟΠΟΙΗΤΩΝ ΥΠΟΔΗΜΑΤΩΝ ΜΕ ΙΣΤΟΡΙΑ ΑΠΟ ΤΟ 1912
The shop Lemisios in Kolonaki since 1912, for five generations has been involved in the manufacture of handmade women’s shoes. The store is famous for its unique construction and comfort Ballerinas (Ballet) made entirely by hand, from high quality leathers in unique combinations and colors, in sizes from 33 to 44.
OUR HISTORY
At the age of 16, Nikolaos Georgiou, originally from Limassol, Cyprus, came to Athens and learned the art of shoe making in a traditional shoemaker’s workshop of that time. With the passage of the years, in 1912 he opens his first shop in Kriezotou Street, specializing in men’s shoes. Later, gaining fame and customers from all over Athens, he moved the shop to Voukourestiou Street changing the name of the business to Lemisios (the one who came from Limassol) choosing to deal exclusively with women’s footwear. Today the tradition of handmade footwear manufacturing is continued by the fifth generation of the family in Likavittou Street.
